The death of Robin Williams reminds me of a sadness that seems to lurk quietly near the surface. I cannot say I understand either the pain of the person that takes his/her own life nor the pain of those closest to loved one who died. However walking along side of those with depression so deep that they just want it to end and the unresolved grief of the family makes the news of a suicide very real and very saddening. So if you decide to use Robin Williams death as occasion to share your opinions about selfishness, unforgivable sins, and the like please keep quiet. Instead pray for those with a sadness so deep that it never seems to end and find a way to simply walk with those who lose the will to live.
