The death of a woman in Tyldesley is now being treated as non-suspicious. At about 4.30am on Wednesday 17 December 2014, the North West Ambulance Service called police to an address on Lord Street, after a woman was found with stab wounds. When officers attended they found a 43-year-old woman with stab wounds to her chest. She was taken to hospital where she sadly died a few hours later. A Home Office post mortem proved inconclusive. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding and a file will be prepared for the coroner. The 47-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.
