The death of the crushed soldier is really painful, saddening and regretful. But come to think of it, why was the soldier riding his bike on BRT corridor? Are military personnel above the law of the land? Riding along BRT lane is an offence and law of the land is supreme. Unfortunately, despite eye witnesses reports, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Minister for Defence (state) claimed this disgraceful and barbaric act was carried out by areas boys that took advantage. Which advantage did the soldiers take? Were they supposed to retaliate in this way? Indeed, the soldiers are real areas boys. I strongly advice Lagos state government to take up the case and make sure the military pays for damages. This act of lawless by the military officers is unacceptable and condemnable nationally and internationally. Pshaw!
