The death on our street continues. I walked next door to give my condolences to the neighbor who has been the bain of our existence. For 30 years this man has been a pain in the ass. He even asked us to plant trees in our back yard to shade the back of his house. Mike said no I said Mike it is the neighborly thing to do so we planted the trees. At first he was happy with the 14 degree drop in temperature in the back rooms of his house. Then we got notice he was suing us for the damage our trees were doing to his sidewalk. I told Mike to cut those SOBs down now. It was quit satisfying to watch this man stand their slack jawed as Mike cut them down. Then we put up a 6 foot wooden fence so we no longer had to see him. This infuriated him as they used the side of our house for spray painting and such. By the way he lost the suit as it was an act of God. Anyway over the years I have learned to let go of bitterness and anger. I have learned to return this with kindness and love. Why should I hang onto the pettiness of others. So when I saw the pain in my neighbors face I reached out and took him in my arms. This was even surprising to me that it wasnt icky or repulsive. It felt right to comfort this broken man.Hopefully we can teach others by example. As I was standing there with this neighbor another neighbor pulled up and told about another neighbor son dying. So much sorrow. Something is so wrong on this street. So much cancer birth defects and miscarriages. I have contacted the American cancer org. but they said because it isnt all the same kind of cancer it isnt a cluster cancer whatever that means. A bunch of people have cancer on one street sounds like a cluster to me. Oh well I was just struck with mental Pause so I will close for now. MY LOVE GOES OUT TO ALL.
