The deaths of Israelis in Palestine are analogous to the deaths of any dependents brought to Iraq by American soldiers, except there werent any. When the ancient Hebrews first arrived in Mesopotamia and established Israel, their records recount a few obstacles. The Midianites, Amalekites, and eventually Babylonians had to be exterminated. No slaves could be taken. Not even livestock, or infants were left alive. Virgin females could be taken captive, however. But everyone and everything else was put to the sword. The nation of Filistin (the Arabic and Hebrew pronunciation of Palestine), gave them a bit more trouble. We know from the Book of Judges that the Palestinians managed to defeat Israel when they first invaded, thousands of years before Christ, and enslaved them. Then there was a second Israelite resistance in the wake of Shemesh-On (Samson), but the outcome of this second battle is not recorded in the Old Testament. When Britain conquered most of Palestine and handed it over to global Jewery on September 11th, 1921, many Palestinians decided the trans-Jordan region would be sufficient. Others fought to the death, or were otherwise subdued. Over the course of a number of conflicts, Palestinian control has been reduced to Gaza, but her allies have been growing in number. Now that we have internet, and 20th Century history can no longer be suppressed, those alliances are multiplying exponentially. I, for one, prefer my government to be on its toes. Thank you internet!
