The decision making on segregating non-vegetarian food with vegetarian food by Ministry of Human Resources of India is to be applauded. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is like maintaining a core or basic tables in a database. We need such segregation. Vedas told that in order to maintain a well socio-economic system, we need people with sattva guna, rajo guna and tamas guna. While people with Sattva guna (those who eat vegetarian food 95%-99% of the time acquire these qualities) are preferred to act as Advisers, ministers and public well wishers. They are acquire automated quality of discrimination of righteousness and wrongful acts - These are also called Brahmans - the intellectual people- representing the instantiation of capabilities of Brahma and Saraswati, rajo guna (those who eat a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food 95%-99% of the time) are preferred to act as rulers - these are also called Kshatriyas - they acquire strong execution capabilities with leadership abilities - representing the instantiation of mix of Vishnu and Lakshmi as well as Siva and Parvathi and finally tamas guna people (those who eat non-vegetarian food 95%-99% of the time) acquire these qualities are needed as activity performers and assisting people that two other categories can not deal and handle - these are also called Soodras - representing the instatiation of lord Shiva and Durga/Kaali. They need to consume this food as they acquire more strength during their early ages and can handle tasks related to showing physical strength. My dear muslim brothers when Hindus talk about gods like Brahma, Vishnu and Maheswar etc.... do not get offended. When you are using Icons in the operating system interfaces such as in Windows Operating system environment, why should you get offended when Hindus use those terms as representations of such Icons with in the scope of divinity and holiness incorporation strategy? Hope you have understood the underlying principle of using such graphic symbols such as icons even within the jurisdiction of understanding the holiness, god and spiritual matters.
