The decision of CBI special court in Arushi Talwar case after - TopicsExpress

The decision of CBI special court in Arushi Talwar case after 5-1/2 years has sort of devided those who have been following the case. But both sides are asking-Can parents kill their only 13 years young child ? And then wipe out the evidence ?Hopefully the reasoned judgement today will remove the haze and clearsome of the questions .But the debate will probably continue till the finality of the judicial process till at least the verdict by higher court is pronounced. The issues such as the following will need to be addressed even after higher courts decide 1.whether the investigating agencies are casual in approach in a serious matter like the double murder.if so whether there has to be accountability of thiose who are casual to their duty. 2.whether we should not appreciate or celeberate the judicial activism in this case when a closure report of CBI was converted into a charge sheet.Rememeber that two murders in an apartment were committed and someone ought to have committed. We may agree with the judgement or not there is definitely a culprit and hence the judge wanted him to be identified . 3..Should the media be more responsible in discussing the issue and resist the tempetation of sensationalising.Clearly the media was judgemental rather than just reporting which their prime duty.not that they should not have discussion to come to answers of questions but whether they should condemn or give clean chit before court comes to a decision. 4.whether there should be servants in the home-24*7 -and parents have to be more aligned to the children-and take care of them more than what they are doing now.Whether family needs to give much more time to children.
