The defeat of incumbent Governor, Kayode Fayemi by the PDP candidate, Ayo Fayose is so painful to Governor Babatunde Fashola that he has turned it into some sort of singsong at all events. He barely deliver a speech without mentioning the Ekiti election and the stomach infrastructure. It seems Mr. Governor has forgotten so quickly the Jeun Soke, Jeun Sapo campaign that returned his predecessor to office in 2003 and how the then AD and later ACN shared cash, Ankara, bags of rice and other goods to woo Lagos electorates in subsequent elections. While I do not agree with the stomach-infrastructure campaign strategy, I believe Ekiti people have only preached the gospel of repentance to the APC via their votes. But can a leopard ever change its spot?
