The definition of Comprehensive Coverage from my Insurance Company: Comprehensive coverage pays the cost of damage (minus any applicable deductible) that occurs as a result of a non-collision incident including: fire, flood, theft, falling objects, vandalism, collision with an animal, hail, malicious mischief, windstorms, civil commotion, explosion, earthquake, water damage, lightning, larceny, and damage caused by flying objects (missiles).
