The design of “Ain’t Laurent Without Yves” is supposed to be a satirical, tongue-in-cheek commentary. I highly doubt the designer harboured any harm in mind to the brand to start with. It is merely stating a fact that without Yves Saint Laurent setting up the brand in 1961, there would not be YSL today. If anything, I think Hedi Slimane should be proud that Yves Saint Laurent is relevant and current enough to be parodied and embraced by the pop culture. collectivedit/2013/10/02/parisian-boutique-colette-is-the-latest-victim-of-hedi-slimanes-wrath/
