The destruction of the terrorists home is a good response. It is barbaric, it is horrific, but what it was changed the way terrorist treated Soviets. Back in the mid 1970s in Lebanon, Americans, British, Soviets, just about any non-Lebanese was being kidnapped and either held for ransom or just held. You probably do not remember the Soviets being held because they solved their problem with a barbaric and horrific act. They went in and killed the butcher who knew the terrorist, they killed the baker who knew the terrorist, they killed the uncles and aunts of the terrorist, they killed anyone who knew but did nothing. The terrorist stopped kidnapping Soviets. When we pushed Saddam out of Kuwait during the first Gulf War, he declared victory. When Israel was attacked in 1967 and drove the attackers out of where Israel is now, the Arab countries declared victory and have demanded Israel leave the occupied lands. Is the regional culture so different from ours that we cannot see that absolute strength is the only thing respected? Reshaping the culture has nothing to do with religion since the alleged attackers in Jerusalem were secular Marxist Palestinians. We must end the giving of candy to kids to celebrate terror. We must end using Mickey Mouse to promote terror. AND, we must finally say, you lost the 1967 attack, Israel won and the land is not occupied, it is their land now. Stop telling the terrorists they won.
