The details are quite fuzzy with this Technology Roll Out. All I - TopicsExpress

The details are quite fuzzy with this Technology Roll Out. All I keep ending up with are more and more questions, very few answers. What I was told by the District Office follows. 1. There is a Litchfield School Board meeting Monday (tomorrow) at 7pm in the large room on the 2nd floor of the Family Services Building. 2. The non-refundable deposit (Real Translation=FEE, deposits are refundable) amount has not been determined and will decided at the meeting Monday. 3. The School District expects all devices to be taken home each night, even if your kids do not have homework. 4. There may be a per household financial limit set, also to be determined at the meeting. What I was told prior to the passing vote: There would be a damage deposit required, IF the student wanted to take the device home each night, not that it would be required. What I have heard from other parents. There will be a charge of $1,000.00 per device, to be paid by the parents, if the device is damaged or stolen. Do the math based on the number of children you have. Theft is a real issue and we personally had it happen at school for lesser valued items. Since all roads seem to lead nowhere... Can anyone tell me who the current school board members actually are, so that I can possibly get some solid answers? Online school is sounding even better and congratulations to those already homeschooling their children!! I encourage any school board members to post answers on her and all parents to attend the meeting tomorrow!
