The difference between a competitor and a champion is action and reaction; competitors take action, but champions simply react. This is difference between knowing a technique and drilling a technique till it becomes second nature and reactionary. Competitors plan a strategy out and worry about all the details. A champion is clear-minded, empty, and goes with the flow. A competitor is grounded, firm and tries to make the fight go a certain way - the way he wants it to. A champion, however, merely adapts, much like water; if water is poured into a cup, it becomes the cup, not the cup the water.
