The disciple is not above his master. It is enough for him to be as his master. This only applies to one Master, even Christ. When it comes to earthly teachers, do not be limited by their understanding. Outgrow them. Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment. (Job 32:9) I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. (Psalm 119:99,100)
