The doors have closed and the lights have dimmed. Exhausted - TopicsExpress

The doors have closed and the lights have dimmed. Exhausted exhibitors and dogs headed home. Another Rose City Classic is in the history books. We had a great weekend with many highlights. Part 1 (Part 2 is the REAL highlight.) As we visited with many folks at our Meet the Breeds booth a young man expounded on how much he loves rare breeds and regaled us with Xoloitzcuintle information. He could even pronounce it! He proudly showed us his purchase, AKCs latest Complete Dog book. Turning to the Xoloitzcuintle section, my eyes caught Baalche jumping out from the page. I was not aware he was one of the models. Several years ago I was asked to send in some agility pictures and had totally forgotten about it. I was quite surprised. Of course I now needed to spend the $50.00 to purchase my own book. My last Complete Dog has a 1959 copy write. Part 2 Baalche and I finished MTB and headed for the AKC booth to purchase proof of my ego. Baalche was wearing his Therapy Dog vest. I bought the book, visited with the ladies for a few minutes, turned away from their booth and walked forward. Baalche cut in front me partially blocking my forward motion, headed back to their booth and put his paw up on their display table. His placed his paw on an object lying on the table, touched his nose to it, and looked at me, still holding down the object. His paw was on my wallet! I had set it on the table and walked off without it. Barbara, the AKC lady there, said Did you see what hes doing! Hes showing you you forgot your wallet! She and I were astounded as he clearly indicated that I had walked off without it! Thank goodness Baalche is not blond!
