The double standard life we see in many places is ruining our world and destroying the harmony we should have around us. We want to tell people how wrong they are without wanting anyone to tell us we are wrong. We eagerly point out peoples mistakes but we do not want anyone to point out ours. We want to tell people what to do but no one should command us. We want to be free to criticize and condemn peoples actions but no one should criticize or condemn us. We expect people to understand we are human beings and be patient with us but we do not want to understand that others are equally human and be compassionate in dealing with them. We want people to change their ways but we are not ready to change. It is a world of double standard where self-interest sets the rule. Consequently, nothing seems to hold.
