The dubious, oft-questioned status of the Hip-Hop genre was, somewhat, further, and positively, addressed, last week, with the billion-ization of one of Its pioneers, and god-fathers, Andre Dr. Dre Romelle Young; thereby knocking Sean Diddy Combs out of the top spot as most prolific earner in the game.......Truly a milestone, I doff my hat to a musical genre that I, personally, considered too thin, irrelevant, and impotent to maintain any real validity.......Although I am still relatively unconvinced, and unimpressed, I cant ignore Its real effect, and evident success, in fiduciary, and monetary, terms ( which, at the end of the day, is the truest barometer ), I hereby capitulate, and eat this crow......
