The election is a one horse race; we will beat UHURU/RUTO at their own game – MUTULA KILONZO Jnr. As the Makueni Senatorial by-election campaign entered its homestretch today, Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) candidate, Mutula Kilonzo Jr. expressed his optimism that he will retain his late father, Mutula Kilonzo’s seat. Speaking at one of his campaign rallies, Mutula assured Makueni residents that CORD will beat Uhuru/Ruto’s Jubilee in their own game. He noted that the plot by Jubilee and IEBC to rig him out will work against them, saying not even rigging by the electoral body can stop the will of over 300, 000 voters of Makueni County. Mutula further noted that the Makueni by-election was a one horse race, saying the Jubilee Coalition had nothing to frighten him with. This comes even as CORD supporters chased away some unmarked vehicles in Makueni believed to be preparing to rig elections by switching ballot boxes during transportation. Mutula’s confidence also comes even after the High Court allowed IEBC to manually paste his name on the ballot papers, something CORD lawyers termed as a plot to rig election.
