The elections didnt turn out the way some of us wanted, but we did our best. Im so proud to be from Rock County and Janesville. We reelected two great assembly members, sent a new member from Beloit and elected an amazing woman to be our next state senator. As far as Im concerned, we did our job in Rock County. Thank you to Mike Tecca for all his hard work leading us in Rock County. Youre an amazing campaign organizer! But today is a new day, and we must continue to advocate our beliefs; because we must. I hope the Governor and the legislature wont forget their towns and cities, and give us real tools to help fix our crumbling infrastructure, our failing schools and provide the best public safety possible. We must hold them accountable every step of the way. Let us work together to find common ground. The people have spoken. In a democracy, people get the government they deserve.
