The emblem of the Christian faith is The Cross. And it is significantly symbolic.. It is not only a reminder for us about the sacrificial death of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It serves as well, as a pointer to our own crucifixion. It spells death to our desires, our wills, our ways. And life and freedom of expression for Gods. The cross is Gods weapon against the flesh. It is a place of self-denial. The old man dies, the spirit takes control. At that level, we can say with Paul the Apostle, I am crucified with Christ. And ultimately pray with Christ, Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done Lord, lead us to the cross. Amen. Check: And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:27).
