The end of summer is a bittersweet time of year for us. While we welcome new staff members as the school year begins, we also say a fond farewell to cherished team members. Kate and Rachel are headed off to Texas A&M and Texas A&M Galveston respectively (WHOOP!), while Sawyer has decided to cross the Texas/Oklahoma border to attend OSU. Kate and Rachel have led the newbies all summer and done a superb job setting the bar high in terms of customer service and work ethic. We wish them all the best and hope to see them again soon at Sweet Firefly...like Christmas break, ladies! :-) Behind the counter scooping if you are available!!! On a special side note, Sawyer was one of our original team members when we opened back in October 2011. He is pictured here with his dad Bruce, who spent countless hours as our architect helping us create the nuts and bolts vision of the shop. Bruce saved us from some serious potential design disasters (we originally envisioned a cloud-shaped drop ceiling painted purple over the ice cream??!?!?) and put his own mark on our lovely little ice cream shop. The Rachels are a big part of SFs success, and we appreciate them both so much! We will miss you, kids! XOXO
