The enemy is not other martial arts instructors. The enemy is my own ego, my laziness, my lack of commitment, my lack of faith, my absence of love for myself, my arrogance, my blaming others, my unwillingness to take responsibility and accept the consequences of my actions or inactions, my jealousy, my pettiness, my lack of integrity, my absence of ethics, my closed mind and closed heart. The enemy is myself. Martial arts is really not about mastery over others. Its about mastery over self.
