The enigmatic and eccentric entity known as Subversiv is a citizen of the world who originated from a diverse Brooklyn NY. Raised in NYC, Subversiv was influenced by the many sounds coming from NYC in the 80′s from disco to house, from freestyle to hip hop. However Subversiv found himself drawn to music further back from 40′s to Motown. It’s his love and passion for music that inspired him to become a DJ Subversiv has a keen ear for music and believes different types of music should be appreciated and as such Subversiv is very versatile behind the decks. Although his specialty is Underground (songs that are not in the top 40) house and techno, don’t be surprised to find other genres in his set. Subversive comes from a dancing background and is very meticulous with his selection of music as he sees it from different perspectives, he mixes and dances from his soul and feels that every one should be dancing with theirs and he aims to bring fun back to the dance floor. Subversiv sees every one as brothers and does not believe in labels and thinks that if every one could dance together, we could all live together! Subversiv is a rebel with a cause armed with music and a smile, a revolutionary fighting against the establishment and the status Quo while making the people dance to his brand of style and music while spreading peace and love where ever he goes. He is also is an activist for cannabis (both Hemp and Marijuana), peace and the environment and cares deeply about the planet, which is why he coins himself as an Eco DJ. He is also a humanitarian and believes strongly that we should all care for each other and share with one another.
