The era/time: 2014. The place: Not really sure anymore. A time when no one word, actually means what that actual word means. A time when it has become a crime to speak your mind, especially if it does not conform to whatevr narrative the present authorities demand. And in this time you have freedom of speech but are not allowed to discuss the most fundamental aspects of ones life such as Religion, Politics or Death, lest someones feelings become bruised. A time when reality TV, (programming that highlights the mundane and often pathetic lives of so called ordinary people)and requires the least intelligence of any being to understand; has replaced truly educational shows like Discovery and the Learning Channel. A time when high elected officials routinely lie, commit crimes immoral, engage in extra marital throat cuts to their partners on a daily basis. Some Are corrupt to the point of justifying literally the causing of countless Hundreds of thousands of Deaths in foreign nations, from Illegal invasions/wars into sovereign held lands..whether they are backed by a World governing organisation or not. The weird and often remarkably short sighted people of this intellect deprived wasteland are not given to reflection nor contemplation. What is must be they opine. But their opinions are kept to themselves..Ive cut n paste some more intriguing things bout the culture/s of that place and time.. Peace-keeping” really means “war-making”; “protecting human rights” really means “bombing civilian centers”; “upholding international law” really means “committing crimes against humanity”. Accusations of “tyrants”, “miscreants”, “rogues” and “renegades” are hurled likes bricks in a glasshouse by perpetrators who arrogate the privilege to call themselves “civilized, democratic, law-abiding governments”. What needs to be contested, therefore, is not some kind of half-baked history, pitted here and there with flaws and hubris, but rather what needs to be challenged is out-and-out willful propaganda purporting as history.
