The essential teachings about mindfulness of Buddha by Venerable Master Guang Chin: 1, To practice mindfulness of Buddha needs perseverance without interruption. Its like the bubbling water of a little creek streams into the ocean continuously. Persevere in your practice everyday single-mindedly into the great ocean of Amitabha Buddhas vows so that there will be hope for you to get rebirth to the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Anyone who is willing to practice mindfulness of Buddha will accomplish at least half of Buddha hood. 2, To turn the situations by our mind, we need to practice mindfulness of Buddha more. Keep Amitabha Buddha in mind constantly. The dharma gate of mindfulness of Buddha is suitable for everyone to practice no matter your capacity is superior, median or low. Even an illiterate old woman can practice, the only point is your faith. Dont belittle the holy name of Amitabha Buddha, which is the Mahayana dharma. It is not easy to master it. Like Great Master Yin Guang said: It is more than enough to accomplish Buddha hood if you can master mindfulness of Amitabha Buddha. Dont worry that you dont have enough time to practice. It is a good cultivation if you can keep being mindful of Buddha in all your daily activities. 3, You have to deal with everything and distance yourself away from disputes with Amitabha Buddha. Keep being mindful of Buddha when you quiet down even falling asleep while practice. It is exactly the Amitabha Buddha that makes us to transcend the three realms to get rebirth to the Land of Ultimate Bliss. No matter whatever situations you meet during your practice, you have to pretend to be blind and deaf without being turned by the situations and keep being mindful of Buddha honestly. 4, We were all born to this world to suffer in samsara with our past karma. Therefore, those suffer from more illnesses have to understand thats their karmic hindrance, try to reduce killings as possible as they can and practice more mindfulness of Buddha to eliminate their karmic hindrance gradually. 5, Dont be afraid of delusive thoughts and just ignore them. By keeping being mindful of Buddha your delusive thoughts will naturally be less and less. 6, You have to keep being mindful of Buddha in all your daily activities. When we concentrate our mind on mindfulness of Buddha, we will find out that our mind wanders outside and clings to the situations without contemplating Amitabha Buddha almost all day. Without collecting our body and mind, we will be turned by the outside environment and sink into the samsara of birth and death. 7, To be mindful of Buddha is the truly pure and righteous path to get rebirth to the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Everyone keeps being mindful of Buddha together single-mindedly and we will all get rebirth without the necessity to buy a ticket of the airplane. The dharma ship heading to the Land of Ultimate Bliss is formless. 8, If you believe in what I say and keep being mindful of Buddha honestly in all your daily activities even in your dreams, keep the holy name of Amitabha in mind with reverence, then you will not be distracted by greedy desires and incoherent thoughts anymore, and the Land of Ultimate Bliss will appear in front of you naturally. Its a serious matter concerning birth and death, dont take it lightly!
