The events surrounding Ferguson and issues of racial tension on our country have been all over the news the past week. Some of you may be upset by the verdict, and some of you may not be following things very closely. How every you are feeling, I think we can all agree that racial division and biases persist in our country. God would have us to be a people that demonstrate his righteousness and justice by pursuing real relationships with people crossing all sorts out boundaries that often divide us: race, education, wealth, etc. This Wednesday at 5:30pm in the Sacred Space come together to pray for racial reconciliation and to stand together for the rights and dignity of all persons in our society. Brooke Winters and Jasmine Turner will be leading the worship, and I would love for IV to be strongly represented during the time.
