The excellent 60 Minutes report, “Falling Apart” on American’s crumbling infrastructure overlooked one important detail. Last year, I introduced the first bill in 21 years to raise the gas tax which has wide spread support outside Congress. There is still time for this Congress to act to pass my legislation. It is teed up and ready to go. The 60 Minutes story should encourage others to finally act to deal with this crisis.
