The exchanges between Hon. Asuman Kiyingi and Hon. Jim Muwhezi ought to be placed in its proper context. Hon Asuman is right to say that Jim Muhwezi is Global Fund/Gavi raketeer. The truth is we are now seeing President Museweri preparing to recycle Jim Muhwezi into active role even with his stench. The reasons are obviously similar to that which has ensured a State protection for PS Pius Bigirimana. I would understand when foreigners like Bigirimana plunder our resources remorselessly, and arrogate the conscience of our people as he wishes. However, the common perspective is that any amounts of money stolen or misplaced from government really is/are associated with the person of President Museveni and his cavernous agenda. The reason the President refunded the legal fees of Soroti Municipality MP, Capt. Mike Mukula is partly because he knew that whoever stole Global Fund/Gavi Money did so to finance his life Presidency. This is the real issue and Mike was never a conscionable thief, but a conduit of the NRM thuggery to finance the life Presidency project. This is why all those who racketeer on public resources simply walk away literally with slaps on their wrists. The real thieves are motivated by the desires for life Presidency. I still contend that to illustrate unwavering commitment to ending corruption in Uganda, Hon. Amama Mbabazi, Hon. Sam Kutesa, and Hon. Jim Muhwezi must be tried in competent courts and if found guilty, they must hang in full public view for the financial losses they have caused Uganda. Corruption is treason and must be treated as such! Unless we take a radical, out-of-the-box approach, everyone will keep treating Uganda like a cash box where they can just dip in their hands and walk...
