The experiment: this woman in New York City walks ten hours through the city wearing jeans and a t-shirt. She is approached by strange men more than 100 times. The video presents edited footage. I have been seeing comments online like she shouldnt complain: they are complimenting her or WTF, why is she so rude! Look at that b***hface! The fact that this happens in NYC can be interpreted in two ways: one, men in any country think they can randomly accost women, and such things are independent of the country; and two, Americans have a lot of nerve calling Delhi the rape capital of the world: all these situations are potentially rapes waiting to happen. Moreover, the creative agency tasked with making the video has earlier too been charged with racism: notice that there are hardly any white men harassing the woman. Guys, understand - no woman owes you a conversation. Please do not approach random women in this creepy way. Imagine if random guys started following you, complimenting your physique or clothes or...ahem, the way you walk. What do you feel about the video?
