The experimental film “Lunod”, submitted by Neica Dela Cruz as her thesis at the UP Film Institute, was chosen as one of the six finalists from over 410 works around the world at the International Students Creative Award 2014 in Osaka slated on Friday. Dela Cruz said she didn’t expect to qualify for the contest given the minuscule budget of her film. “’Yung 15k na ‘yun sobrang liit. Kasi alam ko yung mga kasabayan ko sa UP Film yung mga thesis nila umaabot ng 350K or 500k. So like sobrang liit talaga nung 15k,” she told InterAksyon.
