The face of the Tollund Man impacted on me from the day I saw it associated with a poem of the same name by Seamus Heaney. Thousands year old face with his little leather cap perfectly preserved with the detail of a modern sculpture. A face at peaceful rest, repose, then one notices the knotted cord, similarly preserved in exquisite detail tied around his neck. The "throttled man", and the story incredible as it already was, twists and expands into more wonder.
