The fact that American Muslim groups must jump to publicly condemn a group as barbaric as ISIS only displays that our community is still a crawling baby. It shows how little weve done, especially since 9-11, to show our neighbors what Islam truly is. Once 95% of Americans can see insane groups like ISIS in the news media and recognize that they do *NOT* represent our religion in any way, then we will be a mature community standing on its own two feet. American Muslims, roll up your sleeves because we still have a LOT of work to do: in our hearts, families, and communities.
