The fact that Nevadas report card is Ds almost across the board in safety & health with the worst news of F in education is terribly disheartening, yet not surprising given the nature of our industry. But, in truth, openness to learning and the attitude towards comprehensive education, growth, knowledge... that formative location is in the home. The responsibility lies with families and is supported with an attitude shift in the community that, while often unpopular, puts education as our most important social concern. Learning is more than ABCs & 123s, were talking children learning to craft, learning to play instruments or sing or write music, to paint, to experiment, to speak languages, to learn hands on vocations and build projects from imagination to implementation, these are the things that open minds and create a fervor for learning that then resonates in all subjects. caanv.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/CAApressed.pdf
