The fact that a revolutionary socialist government could theoretically abuse its power is no reason to not want one. Our current government abuses its power every day by keeping in place a global system of unspeakable oppression and violence. Its most brutal violence and most blatant acts of police state terror are simply displaced, exported to places we dont live. Coming out against imperialist-white-supremacist-capitalist-patriarchy is the admirable move for the Left, not snidely playing along with the confused liberal consciousness. By proudly, but tactfully, laying the foundation for a peoples government now, revolutionaries work towards a state that will at least meaningfully pursue a better global society. Our current dictatorship of the 1% doesnt even pretend to, backed up by the alleged prudence of grotesquely privileged, self-deceiving liberals. A revolutionary government could very well be far less abusive of power than our current one and is the only option promising a human future. Liberals choose to error on the side of convenience while right-wing fascism and neoliberalism grow stronger; revolutionaries call out the bourgeois pipe dream for what it is, get down to business.
