The fact that police in Florida mistook a 60 year old man for a car thief (in his own car, parked in his own driveway) isn’t nearly as unsettling as the fact that they fired 15 rounds when the 60 year old man got out of his car in a “threatening manner” (or as much of a threatening manner a 60 year old man can actually muster when he’s getting out of his own car, in his own driveway, while being confronted by screaming police with their guns drawn), which isn’t nearly as disturbing as the fact that only 2 of the 15 rounds fired actually hit their intended target. Really. I have a feeling that the details on this story are going to be disconcerting, at best.
