The fakeness of some guppy photos out there reminds me of a lot of photos of women out there. And in keeping with the comparison, any guppy keeper/ woman risks sounding just jealous in citing the fakeness. But in either case, the subject is typically very exquisite without enhancement; anyone with eyes would be enchanted seeing them in person. So why the compulsion to add and subtract 1s and 0s from every inch of their shapes and colors until they are less photograph than CGI? Money, I guess. I know there are some concerns about the IFGA show standards, but consider this: how many show photos do you see where the competing fish look anything like the betta-guppies Im talking about. And notice you rarely see videos of these freaks? Hmmm.
