The family of an Army Ranger from Philomath who was killed in action in Afghanistan is planning a public memorial service today. PFC. Cody Patterson was one of four American service members who were killed when enemy forces attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device. Pattersons body was returned to the United States last week. Now his family is planning a memorial service for the public to pay their respects.
