The famous Bernard Pivot Questionnaire asks, “If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?” This same question was asked repeatedly on Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio.” Here are some of the answers that the celebrities gave. Meg Ryan hopes to hear God say, “You big dope, I’ve been with you all along!” Sharon Stone would wait for the same words her father blessed her with, “You done good, kid.” Many just hope to hear God say, “Welcome home,” or “Come on in,” or “We’ve got a table set for you.” Steven Spielberg would like to hear God say to him, “Thanks for listening.” Right now, get somewhere quiet, think about the age to come here on this earth. Imagine meeting Jesus there for the very first time. Notice the expression on his face. Notice any nonverbal gestures or movements. What would you like the very first words you hear Jesus say to you to be?
