The famous teacher, scholar, and preacher J. Vernon McGhee covers this in his “Thru the Bible” series. I will borrow from his writing for this lesson. I love his introduction to the study of this verse. He writes: “Actually, if you want to know what salvation really is, you have to know how bad sin is!” One theologian says that sin is the measure of salvation. It is how you determine the difference.
