The fast that You ask of us, O God, is to share our bread with the hungry and release those bound unjustly. And while we do the former most frequently, it remains a challenge for us to release those whom we have bound with the judgments of our hearts. As the spring rains soften and make fertile winter’s frozen land so may Your word soften our hearts so that our actions will reveal Your kin[g]dom in our midst today and forever +++++ +++++ 222 +++++ +++++ What must we leave behind, O God, so that we can follow You? To what personal idols do we pay homage, and what insecurities bind us? In the word that You speak every day, continue to call us, encourage us, and laying Your hand on our shoulders, remind us of the power of Your Spirit in our midst today and forever
