The fear and reverence of God is essential to a godly life, without it we can not obtain Godly knowledge, wisdom or understanding. We cannot fulfill our destiny or walk the path that God has for us. A true godly fear of our God demands our obedience. It demands our trust. This fear places God in His rightful place on His throne and on the throne of our hearts. If you are having trouble with direction or/and success in your life meditate on these words and scriptures. Psalm 89:6-8 " For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?" Proverbs 2:4-6 "If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Psalm 111:10 " The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise." Proverbs 9:10 " The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."
