The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom and before honor - TopicsExpress

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom and before honor is humility (Pro 15:33) Before the Lord will exalt His Son within any man or any nation, that man or that nation must willfully surrender their safety, their rights, their hearts and their bodies entirely to the leading, direction and ways of the Holy Spirit! One thing I have experienced about the ways of God is, the Holy Spirit will often lead us in ways we would rather not take naturally. He takes us down a path of humility and brokenness to bring us to a place to utter surrender. He will allow people to offend with their lips and even cut us with the piercing remarks of their tongues. The response He is looking for at that time is not us rebuking them but learning just to endure under such hostility without verbally fighting back. As we learn to be quiet while others are hurting with their words we learn that Christ is our Rock and our Shield. The power of their tongues will not have power over us. The only way the tongue of evil will have power over us is if we refuse to fight back in humility! Sometimes we just have to sit by take the pain and pray it off of us. Another thing we must learn as believers is, we have no rights! We must even learn not to fight back when we are right about a certain something. We cannot react because of the actions of others! We must learn not to react, but to respond in kind under any pressure. This is a challenge and if pride and anger are present within the heart, these offenses will draw it to the surface. This is exactly why the Lord allows the offence. Not for us to repay, but for us to recognize. Not recognize the evil in them, but the condition of our own hearts. My prayer is that we as a whole allow the Lord to rid of us of all pride, ego and the defending of ourselves. Help us Lord to reflect your love under all pressure and not to take personal the personal attacks of satan through sinful individuals! Help us oh Lord to humble ourselves, to be so lost in you we wont be able to find offense against our own selves! To be honored before God, we must first be humbled under Him. Beloved, let this become our prayer and humbly responsive to our God.
