The federal government has sponsored research that has produced a tomato that is perfect in every respect, except that you cant eat it. We should make every effort to make sure this disease, often referred to as progress, doesnt spread -- ANDY ROONEY : -------------- A company by the name of Monsanto has developed Genetically Modified seeds (GMOs) which they have been able to patent. In my opinion they have modified corn seed to be used for fuel and animal feed which is unfit for human consumption. The trouble began when someone planted this modified corn and his neighbor planted some corn that had not been modified in the field next door. The good corn now has some GMO in it because the wind has transferred some of the fertilizing agent to the good corn. Over half of the different varieties of corn now are contaminated with GMOs according to a seed catalog that I received. more bad news. This is not limited to corn. As companies endeavor to create strains of other food products that they use man made engineering on and destroy our other vegetables. They have and will put protective patents on these. If a bee transfers some of these GMOs to your garden, then you could be sued for infringing on their patent, plus having destroyed your original seed. We need some wise men in our Government and on our Judicial Seats. This is a very present and dangerous situation. I have no other solution than to pray.
