Down by the riverside, theres a look across the Thames to Purfleet and more scenes of destruction as men demolish a factory building with sledgehammers. The film ends however with more peaceful shots, showing the Parish Church of St Paulinus on Church Hill an ancient survivor in the wake of the wave of modernity destroying the old town.
