The final race of the 2014 AMA Supercross season took place in Las Vegas over the weekend with both factory KTM 450 riders on the podium and a 250 West Coast Championship in the bag for Jason Anderson. After wrapping up the 450 Championship last weekend, Ryan Villopoto was once again dominant in Las Vegas for the final round of the season, claiming the holeshot and leading the main event from start to finish, Ryan Dungey didnt quiet have the pace to pressure Villopoto for the lead but his quick pace had him negotiating and destroyed circuit at the front of the field, his consistent pace at the end of the season helped him slip into 2nd overall for the season. After an early charge at the beginning of the season Ken Roczens Championships hopes had faded later in the season and after qualifying for the main event in Las Vegas through a Semi win, Roczen was able to pressure Dungey early in the main before settling into 3rd spot. The crucial 20 points were enough to move him up to 3rd overall in his rookie 450 season. KTM Rockstar Energy Racings Jason Anderson came to Las Vegas with 8 points lead in the 250 Championship, but the rumour of a chest injury, fuelled by his decision to run a chest guard, had tongues wagging in the pits before the 250 main. But the pressure firmly on the shoulders of Cole Seely to have a perfect race in the final to try and steal the title from Anderson. A mid pack start for Seely allowed Anderson to back off the pace, finishing 6th on the night and claiming his first professional title.
