The finished product. Tamiya 1/35 T-72M1, the tracks are from Trumpeters T-72 track set, but the rest is out of the box, including the decals. I used LifeColor 4BO Soviet green for the base color, flat black for the side skirts and a very subtle dusting of Polly Scale Soviet khaki #2 for the top coat to break up the green. The tracks were painted Aeromaster tire black for the base coat, followed by a dusting of Pactra acrylic rust and drybrushed with Tamiya acrylic. XF-56 metallic gray. The was was a mixture of raw umber oil paint and mineral spirits. Drybrushing was achieved also with LifeColor 4BO Soviet green and Aeromaster tire black. The smoke staining for the engine exhaust was done with a black oil paint & turpentine mix and various blacks for drybrushing. Decals are for a Soviet era T-72M1 at an unknown to me time frame.
