The first batch of women who were taken for an educative exchange visit today got an opportunity to visit some farms in Kiambu county to practically see execution of what they have been theoretically learning. The group were joined by the CECm for Education,gender and social services Hon Rono who addressed them. The Women who are undergoing a 1 week extensive training on IGAs will be awarded certificates at the end of the training and empowered to also go to their respective wards and educate other women on the same. The CO for gender and social services Jane Psiwa assured the women that the county will follow up on this noble program and ensure that they at least adopt what they have been taught. Some of the areas visited today included a tree seedling nursery,a poultry farm,a dairy cow farm,and a bio-gas plant.
