The first big storm of the season has dropped about 24 inches of snow over Calumet! While Calumet and Hecla Mining Company was in operation, the Russell Snow Plow was the perfect tool to clear the rail tracks on a day like today. This past summer stabilization and restoration work was completed to ensure the snow plow can last many more winters at its final resting place on Red Jacket Road. Lake effect snow is expected to continue through tomorrow. Check out current snow depth observations at the National Weather Service go.usa.gov/AsXe.
