The first cake of 2015! This was a request for a cross between a Princess cake and something to do with penguins and the cake had to be pink! A quite different request, dont you think. I used a small penguin mould to make the pink penguin border on the bottom tier which was a lemon cake. I decorated the vanilla second tier with white cake lace ontop of a pink fondant base and added a trademark bow. Finally I made the top tier, which was chocolate, in an igloo shape. I iced it first in a very pale blue thin coating and then in white, so it had an icy look without being blue. Then I hand modelled some little penguins in fondant/modelling paste to complete the cake x
