The first comment I read was why they didnt choose to abort the baby after finding out the diagnosis at 12 weeks knowing it was going to die anyway. Im sure this poor family gets asked that and while I dont know what its like to lose a child I do know what its like to get a grim diagnosis early on in the pregnancy. And I know my first reaction was that I wanted this baby more than I had ever wanted anything else. No one knew Joey would be okay. No one knew Joey wouldnt be okay. It was just something I knew I needed to do for him. Give him a chance. And maybe that mother felt the same way even if it was for just a few short breaths. 6abc/341873/
